STATESBORO CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The Averitt Center’s Statesboro Youth Chorale and Statesboro Youth Strings Program join forces for their special presentation of Messiah, a concert featuring select excerpts from George Frideric Handel’s oratorio. Coinciding with the Statesboro Youth Chorale’s 25th Anniversary, youth chorale and strings alumni will be joining students onstage during this commemorative performance. Messiah tells the story of Christ, beginning with the prophecies of Isaiah, moving to the Annunciation of the shepherds, concluding with the resurrection and a special “Hallelujah Sing-Along Chorus.”
