Betty Sanders Botts: Sacred and Wild

Exhibition Dates: September 14 – November 4, 2017

Opening Reception: September 27, 2017 | 6:00 p.m.

Betty Sanders Botts interprets the natural world with large environmental canvases that depict forest animals often dynamically leaping across the picture plane or hidden in lush expressionistic foliage. She paints in an abstracted, painterly style with loose brush strokes and lyrical motion pushing and pulling her seldom seen wild animals across the picture plane. Both dynamic and winsome, her work expresses her profound faith. She states, “I like to think that my work is a reflection of God within me and that my viewers are somehow able to feel this. I include scripture in my titles and believe that this adds to the total experience of God’s presence and His immense love for each of us.” Botts lives and has her studio near Atlanta and exhibits throughout the southeast. Her work has been collected by both public and private collectors.
